Chemical and Structural Characterization of Amorphous and Crystalline Alumina Obtained by Alternative Sol–Gel Preparation Routes

چکیده
Aluminum oxide is one of the most commonly used materials in industry. It field catalysis, refractories, and optics. Despite fact that there are many techniques available, still a great challenge obtaining material with desired designed properties. Nevertheless, flexibility making customized alumina physicochemical properties synthesized by sol–gel methods. This work consists characterizing aluminum using different preparation routes. Three sols were obtained organic precursors underwent thermal treatment. The structure (Middle Infrared Spectroscopy, Diffused Reflectance X-ray Diffraction, Magic Angle Spinning Nuclear Magnetic Resonance) microstructure (Scanning Electron Microscopy Dispersive Spectroscopy) tests carried out. specific surface area was determined Brunauer–Emmett–Teller (BET) method. Thermal analysis performed for all powders, order to analyze temperature transformation.
